The main purpose of this Directorate is to educate the tax payers regarding their duties & liabilities, to encourage and assist voluntary compliance by taxpayers and to facilitate the payment of taxes in the easiest way. To achieve this purpose, we frequently issue advertisements through print & electronic media. We also publicize the latest changes in the taxation laws, procedures etc. as well as facilitation & simplification measures taken by the department. Such changes can be seen on the notice board of this website.
